The Senior Accountant’s responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with close and budget processes, and serving as a key contact for external auditors. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast‑paced private equity environment and has hands‑on experience with multi‑entity, multi‑currency accounting. This role will work closely with the Global Controller and will be involved with several critical projects as the company looks to scale its processes and controls across the growing organization.
Month‑EndClose & General Accounting
- Own significant portions of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure timely resolution of open items.
- Record and reconcile intercompany transactions and support the global consolidation process, including foreign currency translation and elimination entries.
- Maintain the general ledger in accordance with U.S. GAAP (and coordinate with local statutory requirements where applicable).
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules, and assist with the reporting package delivered to the board and PE sponsor.
- Support lender and covenant compliance reporting, including data gathering and schedule preparation to meet credit‑agreement deadlines.
- Perform flux analysis and provide clear, concise explanations.
- Assist with cash reporting and support treasury on cash forecasting inputs.
- Ensure transactions are recorded in compliance with company policies and internal controls.
- Serve as a key contact for external auditors during interim testing and the annual audit; prepare requested schedules and support.
- Support tax, transfer pricing, and statutory reporting requirements in coordination with internal and external partners.
- Identify opportunities to streamline, standardize, and automate accounting processes.
- Act as a power user of the company's ERP and reporting/consolidation tools; support ongoing system enhancements and data integrity efforts.
- Partner cross‑functionally with FP&A, treasury, tax, shared services, and regional finance teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or a corporate accounting role at a global organization.
- CPA preferred.
This is primarily a desk‑based role, requiring extended periods of sitting and computer use. While the role is mainly desk‑based, mobility within the office, manufacturing facility and customer sites may be required for meetings and interactions with colleagues.
Physical RequirementsProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds lity to traverse office, manufacturing facility and customer sites.
