Accounts Payable Specialist

West Chester, OH | Fully Onsite

$50k-$55k, DOE, up to 3.5% bonus

Our client is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist responsible for the accurate and timely processing and payment of invoices and other company liabilities.

• Process accounts payable invoices and payments accurately and efficiently.
• Review invoices for completeness and accuracy prior to processing.
• Ensure payments are processed accurately and on time.
• Ensure proper expense accounting and general ledger coding.
• Work with assigned vendors and internal staff to resolve discrepancies and disputes while minimizing interruptions to services and supplies.
• Complete accounts payable closing activities accurately and on time to meet reporting deadlines.
• Research expense variances, suspense accounts, and other account issues as requested by management.
• Follow and apply established Accounts Payable policies and procedures.

• 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Working knowledge of Accounts Payable processing, including an understanding of how AP transactions impact General Ledger postings.
• Experience with Sales and Use Tax application.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate issues to managers, coworkers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a diverse group of employees, managers, and outside parties.
• Strong computer skills in a Windows environment, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Degree in Accounting (Bachelors Preferred)
