Job Details
Mercedes Benz of West Chester – West Chester, OH 45069
Salary: $100,000 – $160,000 base + commission per year.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 5pm.
Body Shop Technician at Mercedes Benz Luxury Collision, a Hudson Automotive Company.
Responsibilities- Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Repair collision-damaged vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
- Maintain and wear all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
- Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials and report any deviations to management.
- Document all work performed on the repair order.
- Road test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician.
- Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
- Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
- Keep shop area neat and clean.
- Maintain and be accountable for all dealership‑owned tools and manuals. Return them to the proper place and in the same condition as received.
- Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right‑to‑Know, etc.
- Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Report any safety issues immediately to management.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications
- Engine Repair Certification for Auto/Light Truck
- Automobile Parts Specialist Certification
- I‑CAR Certificate of Advanced Training
- Advanced Vehicle Systems
- Aluminum Repair, Replacement and Welding
- Collision Repair 2000
- Electronics for Collision Repair
- Steering and Suspension
- Understanding Collision Repair
- State Emission Certification
- State Vehicle Inspector Certification
- 5+ years collision technician experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Detail oriented with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
