Project/Client Opportunities
The Landscape Architecture Group Leader will bring outdoor spaces to life, by collaborating with team members to provide concept design through technical construction documentation of landscape architecture projects. They will lead and assist in design, construction documentation, and detailing for parks, streetscapes, public space design, development and industrial sites, higher education, and master planning, etc.
The Group Leader (GL) Will- Establish and grow relationships with clients and related industry professionals .
- Serve as primary contact with clients .
- Lead the client through the entire landscape architecture design process including SD, DD, CD, and CA.
- Provide landscape architecture documentation of projects including SD, DD, CD, and CA.
- Lead landscape architectural project proposal efforts.
- Present to the public (agencies, government entities, etc.) clients, and publicly speak on behalf of the profession of landscape architecture for industry related conferences, etc.
- Regularly interact with employees inside and outside of the department, including regular interaction with clients.
- Lead staff providing direction on design, construction documentation, and administration.
- Lead and participate in project meetings, visioning sessions, and client presentations.
- Take responsibility for landscape architecture business development activities to strategically plan future growth and integration of new work in desired market sectors.
- Be a self-starter and able to work on multiple projects concurrently .
- Manage assigned profit and loss of a project, while being the example of professional presence, representing the Company and the department in a positive light.
- Demonstrate an advanced level of landscape architectural practice knowledge.
- Demonstrate ability to lead and provide landscape architecture project documentation.
- Maintain successful Business Development pipeline.
- Serve as Project Manager on landscape architecture projects.
- Consult with and provides guidance to project stakeholders and staff regarding requirements for landscape architecture projects.
- Retention and satisfaction of existing clients .
- Use design software and drawing tools to accurately render and document landscape architecture concepts through construction documentation.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and engineers to ensure projects progress properly.
- Monitor project progress and ensure design specifications and standards are met.
- Develop, mentor, train, evaluate, coach/discipline, acknowledge, and thank assigned staff.
- Assign appropriate projects/pieces of projects to staff aligned with their abilities.
- Motivate and lead assigned team members to successful completion of project on time, on budget, and accurately .
- Anticipate and plan for project compliance and regulatory requirements based on knowledge of state and local regulations .
- Develop, delegate, and coach assigned staff to help them improve and meet their career objectives .
- Consistently develop and maintain expertise in assigned market.

- Responsible for scope and fee proposals, qualifications-based proposals, and write proposals for advanced level projects.
- Prepare Business Development Plan for selling work within your current group's technical capability and workload capacity.
- Positively drive financial metrics of group.

- Responsible for touch base activities with previous/current clients.
- Develop business by selling the Company's services to new and existing clients.
- Networking
- Participate in appropriate meetings, association memberships, and events to establish and build networking contacts.
- Develop and lead project or industry related presentations for internal and external use.
- Project/Client Opportunities
- 10
-15 years of professional experience in the field of Landscape Architecture . - Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
- Must be a Licensed Landscape Architect in the state of Florida.
- Advanced level understanding of design and construction documentation.
- Motivate and lead assigned team members to successful completion of project on time, on budget, and accurately .
- Review project for compliance with regulatory requirements based on knowledge of state and local regulations .
