We’re working with a systems integrator delivering turnkey automation solutions across a range of manufacturing sectors who are looking to add a Senior Control System Engineer to their team near West Chester, Ohio.
This is a hands‑on role focused on the design, programming, integration, and support of control systems for bespoke production machinery and industrial automation projects. You’ll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle — from concept and specification through to commissioning and customer handover.
It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working directly with customers, and playing a key role in delivering complex automation projects from start to finish.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Develop PLC and SCADA software using Allen-Bradley / Rockwell and Siemens platforms
- Support electrical panel design and machine integration activities
- Program and commission Servo systems, VFDs, and Motion Control equipment
- Work closely with customers to develop functional specifications and project requirements
- Support machinery build, debug, testing, and commissioning activities
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Contribute to robotics integration and wider automation solutions across bespoke machinery projects
Successful people in this role tend to be technically strong engineers who combine hands‑on automation experience with strong communication and project ownership skills.
You’ll likely have:
- A BS or MS degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Controls Engineering
- Strong PLC programming experience using Allen-Bradley / Rockwell and Siemens systems
- Experience delivering projects through the full automation lifecycle from specification through commissioning
- Hands‑on experience with Servo drives, VFDs, and Motion Control systems
- Practical electrical experience including machine wiring, electrical fitting, or integration work
- Strong communication skills and experience working directly with customers and cross‑functional teams
- Experience working on bespoke production machinery or custom automation systems
- SCADA development and integration experience
- Robotics integration experience
- Commissioning or field service experience within manufacturing environments
- Experience managing multiple projects or supporting customer‑facing automation projects
