Overview
JOB TITLE:
Street Sweeper (CDL-B) – Full-Time
LOCATION:
West Chester, OH
HOURS:
1st shift, hours vary between 4 AM and 7 PM. Occasional nights and weekends, schedule subject to change based on business needs.
COMPENSATION: $ / Hour
TRAVEL:
Minimal (1-10%)
- Route Execution:
Review routes in advance, ask clarifying questions as needed, and complete assigned work on time with attention to quality. - Safety & Inspections:
Complete required pre- and post-trip inspections and ensure equipment is safe and operational before starting work. - Equipment & Material Handling:
Operate equipment safely and efficiently, follow traffic laws and site protocols, and handle materials according to disposal and safety procedures. - Reporting & Documentation:
Immediately report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns and accurately complete required logs and paperwork. - Professional Communication:
Represent the Company professionally and communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients. - Adaptability & Reliability:
Respond effectively to changing conditions, solve problems as they arise, and maintain regular, predictable attendance.
Job Requirements
- Education:
High School or GED - Experience:
1 year DOT driving experience – waste & recycling services experience preferred - License: CDL-B & DOT Medical Card
- Age:
Must be at least 21 years of age - Compliance:
Must maintain an acceptable driving record and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, background check, and drug screening in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.
- Safety & Compliance Focus:
Ability to follow safety procedures, conduct inspections, operate equipment responsibly, and comply with all traffic, site, and regulatory requirements. - Operational Execution & Reliability:
Strong ability to plan routes, complete work efficiently and accurately, adapt to changing conditions, and maintain consistent, dependable attendance. - Communication & Issue Reporting:
Effectively communicate with supervisors and teammates, represent the Company professionally, and immediately report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns.

- Work Environment & Exposure:

Frequent sitting and walking/standing; occasional bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling; limited stair climbing and crawling; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs at varying heights, including overhead. - Cognitive & Sensory Requirements:
Continuous reading, screen use, mental focus, and hand-eye coordination throughout the workday. - Equipment & Tools:
Operation of specialized equipment (e.g., mechanical broom sweeper) and use of hand controls, foot controls, and fine motor skills. - Safety & Protective Gear:
Required use of appropriate PPE, including high-visibility apparel, eye, ear, hand, foot, head, lung, and skin protection.
