Learn more at our website: Container Port Group, a World Group company, is currently looking for a dedicated, driven person to join our family as a Terminal Manager for our growing terminal in Cincinnati, OH.
The Terminal Manager is responsible for being the backbone of our trucking operations and the connection between our fleet of owner‑operators and our customers. - Provide leadership for the Fleet Manager, Customer Service and Operations team members located in the terminal
- Work closely with the recruiting and driver experience teams on IC acquisition and retention strategies
- Develop new business
- Grow and expand opportunities with the current customer base through relationship building with key account decision makers
- Coach and facilitate excellent communication and teamwork amongst Customer Service, fleet and operations management
- Ensure safety accountabilities (holding true to our safety culture, #1 priority)
- Maintain facility and safety inspections
- Analyze P&L (GP / NOI / NI)
- Demonstrate servant leadership and mentoring skills
- Manage electronic log and HOS compliance
- Solve problems impulsively in a fast‑paced environment
- HS diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred
- Alignment with Container Port Group’s purpose, brand promise and core values
- 5 years intermodal transportation management experience
- 3 years managing an owner‑operator based fleet
- Outstanding service performance, leadership, customer satisfaction and owner‑operator recruiting skills are a must
- High degree of integrity and initiative
- Excellent management, communication, relationship building and networking skills
- Strong and proven operations background
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
