Location: Olde West Chester

A Group Lead will provide support to daily warehouse operations and system processes. A Group Lead is responsible for effectively planning and coordinating workflow for assigned area. They ensure proper resource placement as business needs dictate and ensures shipments are processed in proper time frame to meet customer service levels. The Group Lead provides support to other areas at the discretion of the DC Supervisor and/or Shift Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure product is getting shipped in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Ensure compliance of company policies, procedures and practices; and support company safety efforts.
  • Ensure employee productivity standards are being met and may assist with training employees including on the job training and safety training.
  • Generate and maintain reports, input or acquire data, and ensure that all data is entered consistently and accurately.
  • Operate a Radio Frequency (RF) unit in combination with Internal Operating System to perform daily work.
  • Operate powered lift equipment.
  • Communicate with trucking company dispatchers to coordinate pick up schedule changes.
  • Check out equipment and return it in the same condition.
  • Meet minimum standards, accuracy standards and delivery deadlines.
  • Maintain a safe, neat and clean work area by adhering to San Mar safety regulations.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
  • 4-6 years of experience supporting many areas of a warehouse.
  • 1-3 years of experience operating powered lift equipment.
  • Detail-oriented, ability to follow through on projects, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Knowledge of Internal Operating System(s) and Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team by setting a good example (exemplary performance, strong initiative, and strong attention to detail).
  • Ability to read, write and identify colors, sizes, quantity, label and SKU information.
  • Able to work both independently and within a team.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in high-demand, high-volume environment and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle confidential and business matters in a professional manner and defuse employee related situations appropriately.
  • Possibility to complete and maintain San Mar’s Lift Operator Certification.
  • Essential days or overtime may be required.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 60 pounds, operates powered equipment requiring use of both hands, and performs repetitive hand, wrist and arm motions. The employee is frequently required to reach, climb stairs, kneel/squat, bend and carry. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The employee may be required to wear a headset covering one or both ears. Personal Protective Equipment such as a protective harness may be required while operating equipment. Basic English literacy is required for operation of machines and necessary daily paperwork. Work environment is moderately noisy, with occasional exposure to conveyor systems, dust, and changes in weather conditions. Potential hazards include forklifts, pallet jacks, and other mechanized systems.

The workplace is hectic and fast-paced with exposure to ambient lighting and extreme heat or cold.
