The Manufacturing Technician II is a direct‑labor position reporting to a Process Execution Team (PET) Process Facilitator on the manufacturing floor. This role supports Filling operations on a 12‑hour night shift (6pm–6:30am) and operates on a 2‑2‑3 schedule.
Job Responsibilities- Operate and service filling machines, including removing finished materials and ensuring smooth product flow.
- Assemble, disassemble, operate, and sanitize filling equipment.
- Perform filter integrity testing, cleaning, and housekeeping to maintain a cGMP environment.
- Start up and make minor adjustments to machinery; input data into SCADA/HMI systems.
- Conduct visual and physical checks of in‑process and finished materials, and perform batch record and GMP documentation entries.
- Maintain records, logs, and perform mathematical calculations as required.
- Understand and apply product security controls, material handling equipment, and outgoing quality levels.
- Apply aseptic behaviors, media fills, line interventions, and monitor viable/non‑viable equipment.
- Perform inventory control and reconciliation using SAP/WES where applicable.
- Follow SOPs, cGMPs, OSHA guidelines, and safety procedures, including familiarity with MSDS, PPEs, ergonomics, LOTO, and spill controls.
- Report discrepancies to the process facilitator and assist mechanical staff with preventive maintenance.
- Support lean activities such as 5S, SMED, problem‑solving, and OEE data tracking.
- Execute validation/engineering protocols for processes and equipment.
- Identify and suggest process improvements while maintaining quality and cGMP compliance.
- Support other filling functions as needed and perform any other assigned duties with minimal supervision.
- Acquire and maintain all required certifications and qualifications for the assigned work area.
- Demonstrate ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing demands.
- Fluent reading, writing, and communication in English.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping.
- Basic mathematical calculation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to a changing/demanding environment.
- Willingness to work overtime with minimal notice, as business needs arise.
- High school diploma, vocational school graduation, or equivalent.
- Prior experience using an isolator.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical or cGMP‑regulated environment.
- Good understanding of aseptic process and technique.
- Prior production experience in a filling area.
- Experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of cGMPs and FDA policies/procedures.
- Shift: 12‑hour night shift (6pm–6:30am) on a 2‑2‑3 schedule.
- Target base pay: $21.50–$32.00 per hour (actual pay based on location, experience, and qualifications).
