Position: Material Handler

Location: West Chester, OH

Wage: $28.04 per hour (plus $0.75 shift differential for 2nd shift)

Shift: 2nd (2:45 pm – 11:00 pm)

As Material Handler reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will operate heavy machinery and handle materials safely and precisely.

• Strap pallets (2‑way or 4‑way) using correct dunnage, strapping gun, and ergonomic machine.
• Conduct quality inspections: check specs on samples with a measuring tape and ensure documentation is completed and stored in plastic envelopes.
• Move strips and finished goods to support production flow.
• Operate wrapping machine and replace wrapping rolls as needed.
• Use buddy‑check system when loading trucks.
• Inspect incoming board/rolls for flute, caliper, and size matches to purchase order.
• Assist with miscellaneous assignments and general labor tasks.
• Perform tasks assigned by supervision.

• Prior experience handling raw materials in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience as a forklift driver.
• Ability to handle all products and materials safely.
• Can work with minimal supervision and resolve complex issues, escalating only the most complex ones.
• Comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
• Ability to lead, coach, and mentor a subordinate group.
