Position: Manufacturing Technician II - Inspection (Nights)
Location: Olde West Chester

Overview

Responsibilities
  • Operate and service automated inspection equipment, monitor equipment status, and reintroduce materials.
  • Palletize inspected materials manually and ensure smooth product flow.
  • Perform manual visual, cosmetic, and physical inspection of material.
  • Escalate concerns promptly to Lead and Manager/Supervisor when needed.
  • Obtain and maintain visual inspection qualification.
  • Start up equipment, make minor adjustments, remove jams, troubleshoot, and assemble/disassemble for cleaning.
  • Use material handling equipment such as motorized and manual pallet jacks and non‑motorized lifts.
  • Perform cleaning, housekeeping, and line clearance activities to maintain a cGMP environment.
  • Enter batch records and GMP documentation, maintaining accurate records and logs as required.
  • Apply product security controls and ensure outgoing quality standards.
  • Follow safety procedures, including PPE, ergonomics, LOTO, and chemical handling guidelines.
  • Report all discrepancies to process facilitators.
  • Adhere to SOPs, cGMPs, and OSHA requirements and guidelines.
  • Print SOPs and forms via ECMS when needed.
  • Support lean activities: perform 5S, participate in problem‑solving sessions, and track OEE data for process improvement.
  • Review operational SOPs, forms, and batch records for accuracy and suggest improvements.
  • Provide flexibility by supporting other work areas as required.
  • Perform all other assigned duties with minimal supervision under the direction of the process facilitator or designee.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical or cGMP‑regulated environment.
  • Ability to understand, read, write, communicate, and follow instructions in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and capability to keep accurate records and perform mathematical calculations.
  • Prior production experience and experience in a lean manufacturing environment are preferred.
  • Knowledge of cGMPs, FDA policies, and procedures.
  • Prior inspection experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP inventory movements and inventory management (e.g., moving items between storage locations, issuing goods).
  • Optional training: cold‑room access, certification as a trainer on assigned equipment, and the ability to conduct training evaluations.
  • Capability and motivation to learn new skills and develop new capabilities continually, contributing to the Process Execution Team.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to a changing, demanding environment.
  • Some overtime may be required with minimal advance notice to support business needs.
