Role Description

The Health and Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive occupational health and safety program that ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations while promoting a proactive culture of safety. This role partners with leadership, supervisors and employees to reduce workplace risks, prevent injuries and continuously improve safety performance.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in a related field (e.g., Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or equivalent).
  • 5+ years HSE experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in heavy industry, wire & cable, or similar.
  • Certifications (preferred): OSHA 30-hour general industry;
    Board of Certified Safety Professionals (CSP);
    Associate Safety Professional (ASP);
    Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH);
    First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems
  • Strong incident investigation and root cause analysis skills
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and safety audits
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • ability to analyze data and develop performance metrics
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
