Incoming Quality Inspector Ensure Quality from the Start. Position SummaryWe’re seeking a detail-oriented Incoming Quality Inspector to verify materials received at our facility meet quality and order requirements. This hands‑on role is responsible for checking quantities, paperwork, material identification, dimensions, and other specifications before materials move into production.
The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, comfortable using inspection equipment, and eager to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do- Perform Positive Material Identification (PMI) using a Niton gun.
- Verify incoming material quantities, descriptions, identification, invoices, and packing slips.
- Perform dimensional and Ra inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring devices.
- Read and interpret blueprints to verify material specifications.
- Maintain accurate, organized receiving and inspection documentation.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move incoming materials.
- Organize pallets, boxes, and materials within the receiving area.
- Support material handling and lift boxes/materials as required.
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
- Strong organizational, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with others.
- Previous manufacturing, quality, inspection, or receiving experience is a plus.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to changing processes, and ask questions when clarification is needed.
- Fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods, as well as periods of sitting and computer work.
- Exposure to noise and varying temperatures.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
