Position:
Therapeutic Mentor (Part-Time)

Make a Difference in a Young Person’s Life

Looking for meaningful, flexible work? As a Therapeutic Mentor, you'll build positive relationships with youth, help them develop life skills, and support their success at home, school, and in the community.

This is an excellent opportunity for college students and early-career professionals interested in psychology, social work, counseling, education, or related fields who want hands-on experience while making a real impact.

What You’ll Do
  • Mentor and coach youth using trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches.
  • Help youth build communication, emotional regulation, social, coping, and independent living skills.
  • Reinforce treatment goals through fun, engaging community-based activities.
  • Collaborate with families, therapists, schools, and other providers.
  • Complete documentation and provide transportation to appointments and activities as needed.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or GED required. Associate's or bachelor's degree (or currently enrolled) in psychology, social work, counseling, education, criminal justice, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 21 years old.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Reliable smartphone and basic computer skills.
  • Availability after school, evenings, and occasional weekends.
  • Experience working with youth or families preferred.
Schedule
  • School Year:
    Most services occur after 3:30 p.m. in approximately 3-hour blocks.
  • Summer:
    Flexible daytime and evening hours available.
  • Flexibility to make your own schedule!
