Our client, a leading logistics and distribution organization, is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to join their team. As a Transportation Coordinator, you will be part of the Logistics Department supporting the Supply Chain Operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Coordinate activities between customer service, distribution centers, and international packing to expedite shipments and ensure high customer satisfaction.

Obtain, prepare, and submit documentation for domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations such as DOT, IATA, and IMDG.

Arrange bookings with freight forwarders, steamship lines, and consolidators to optimize delivery efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Serve as a liaison with freight forwarders, brokers, and customers, troubleshooting issues related to lost or damaged shipments.

Maintain organized electronic and paper files of shipment documentation and provide necessary reports and updates to stakeholders.

High School Diploma, GED, or HSED required.

Experience with logistics, shipping requirements, and hazardous materials (preferred but not handling hazardous materials directly).

Knowledge of shipping regulations such as DOT, IATA, and IMDG.

Proficiency with PC, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other office equipment.

Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and make independent decisions.
