Receives, stores, and distributes material and products within establishments by performing the following duties.

• Responsible for specialized warehouse tasks in receiving, inventory, customer service, and/or order processing.
• Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other warehouse departments.
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Inspects items for defects and reports as required.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Attends safety training to learn how to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Fills work orders or requests for materials, and distributes items to designated area.
• Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Abides by all company safety and hygiene regulations.
• Maintains a neat, clean, and organized work area.
• Organizes and inputs product into WMS system with placement of labeling.
• Performs handheld scanner function within the WMS system.
• Performs QC audits within WMS system.
• Utilizes laptop to communicate product discrepancies.
• Communicates with yard driver regarding yard movements.
• Performs other administrative duties as assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

• Education and/or
  
  Experience:
  
  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers; ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Mathematical
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw, and interpret bar graphs.
• Reasoning Ability:
  Ability to apply sound judgment understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  Skills and Abilities:
  
  Bilingual in Spanish and Creole is helpful, but not necessary.
