Safety Officer for Construction Project
Join a dynamic team overseeing subcontractors in flat roof replacement and renovation on a federal installation. This project involves ensuring safety compliance during warmer months when temperatures exceed 40°F.
Responsibilities- Serve as the on-site safety presence for all roofing operations.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety plans.
- Identify and correct unsafe conditions in real time, working directly with subcontractor crews.
- Maintain awareness of heat exhaustion risks and environmental hazards throughout the workday.
- Document safety observations, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with the project manager and client on safety reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in safety management and procedures.
- Experience with OSHA regulations and construction safety.
- Ability to conduct safety training and manage site safety.
- Expertise in fall protection and excavation safety.
Skills & Qualifications
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Background in commercial construction safety.
- Health & safety knowledge.
This role involves working outdoors on a federal installation, monitoring safety during warmer months. The work environment requires vigilance against heat exhaustion and environmental hazards. Appropriate safety attire is essential.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of West Chester, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
