The Psychology Department, part of the College of Sciences and Mathematics, seeks to advance the discipline of Psychology as an area of scholarly, professional, and scientific endeavor in a diverse and inclusive environment. Our primary focus is to provide a high quality, liberal-arts education wherein students and faculty members exchange ideas stemming from a variety of viewpoints in an environment of mutual respect, collaboration, and equity.

The Temporary Faculty member will teach graduate-level courses in the Master of Science in Industrial-Organizational Psychology program. The incumbent may provide learning via in-person, face-to-face, and/or online modalities depending on program requirements and departmental needs. Teaching assignments may vary based on departmental needs and may include courses such as Industrial Psychology, Organizational Psychology, Training and Development, Leadership, Research Methods, Statistics, and related topics.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to high-quality instruction, student success, and the application of industrial-organizational psychology in academic and/or professional setting.

Appointments are made on a semester-by-semester basis. A typical semester workload may be up to 9 credits dependent upon departmental needs.

Responsibilities include:

* Teach graduate-level courses in the Master of Science in Industrial-Organizational Psychology program

* Prepare and deliver course content in face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online formats

* Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback

* Maintain course records and submit grades in accordance with university deadlines and policies

* Foster student engagement and contribute to a supportive learning environment

* Master's degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or a closely related field

* Demonstrated expertise in Industrial-Organizational Psychology through graduate training, teaching, research, consulting, or professional practice

* Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or a closely related field; and/or

* Previous college-level teaching experience; and/or

* Experience teaching graduate students; and/or

* Experience teaching in multiple modalities, including but not limited to, face-to-face, blended, and online synchronous & asynchronous format; and/or

* Applied experience in areas such as employee selection and assessment, training and development, leadership development, talent management, organizational development, human resources, or consulting; and/or

* Demonstrated experience providing engaging, inclusive, and student-centered instruction

Salary per three-credit course is $7,028.19
