PT Instructional Support Specialist

If you answered YES to either of these questions, then consider joining our team as a PT Instructional Support Specialist at the School for Integrated Learning located in West Chester, PA.

Every day as a PT Instructional Support Specialist you will:

  • Assist the children in your care with their individualized plans for daily life.
  • Support the children with classroom activities
  • Ensure the students are safe, healthy, and living in a clean environment.
  • Participate in the planning, implementation, and documentation of programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs of the client.

You will be offered:

  • Pay-rate: $19.50 - $22.23 (based upon experience and education)

    Up to 32 hours per week with flexibility during the hours that school is in session

The School for Integrated Learning focuses on building upon the unique strengths of each student. Our school strives to offer a breadth of opportunities for students to express themselves and find personal levels of accomplishment through activities such as:
Special Olympics, talent shows and school dances, student government, peer mentoring, service learning, community gardening, and employment education, both in the classroom and in the community. The goal of the School for Integrated Learning is to create individualized educational opportunities that enable each student to live as a positive, healthy and socially-connected individual in his or her community.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma required. Associates Degree or completion of two years of post-secondary education from an accredited college or university preferred.

Experience:

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Ability to manage multiple tasks. Proficient communication skills. Proficient computer skills.
