Aftercare Teacher

Chesterbrook Academy seeks an Aftercare Teacher to support our elementary students during after-school hours in a safe, nurturing environment. In this role, you will supervise students, lead engaging enrichment and play activities, and provide homework support aligned with our academically rich, developmentally appropriate approach. You'll model positive behavior, maintain a secure and inclusive space, and communicate regularly with teachers and families.

This position offers a supportive, collaborative team, ongoing training, and opportunities to grow within our network of schools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during after-school hours, ensuring safety and positive behavior.
• Lead age-appropriate enrichment, play, and learning activities.
• Support students with homework and basic academic tasks.
• Implement classroom management and behavior expectations aligned with school policies.
• Communicate with families and school staff about student participation and concerns.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe aftercare spaces.
• Assist with student check-in and check-out procedures.
• Follow all safety, health, and emergency procedures.
