Substitute After School Teacher

Chesterbrook Academy is seeking a Substitute After School Teacher to support our K-8 students in a safe, nurturing environment. In this role, you will step into after-school classrooms as needed, supervise children, and implement prepared activities that blend learning and play. You'll help with homework, guide behavior positively, and ensure adherence to safety procedures. Working within our supportive, child-centered culture, you'll collaborate with staff and families while gaining training and growth opportunities in a professional, team-oriented school community.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in after-school classrooms and play areas
• Implement prepared lesson plans and enrichment activities
• Support homework help and academic reinforcement
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Follow school policies for student safety and behavior management
• Communicate key updates to lead teachers or site leadership
• Ensure accurate attendance and student release to authorized adults
• Set up, organize, and clean activity and learning spaces
