Network Engineer, IT Support
Job Title
Equipment Rack Building Experience.
Dressing in Cables/Wires, Labeling Cables, and Terminating Cables (Coax and RJ45).
Hands-on Experience with Running Wires and Cables in Tight Spaces. Able to Dress Up and Lay Out Wires in an Organized Manner.
Ability to Identify Different Cable Types.
Experience with Network/Settings Configuration of Equipment. These Devices Include Switches, Routers, IP-Controlled Infrastructure Equipment, and DVR's.
Basic Networking Understanding. Understand Difference Between Layer 2 (MAC) and Layer 3 (IP) Addresses.
Ability to Document Device and Configuration Information into an Excel Spreadsheet.
Experience Physically Installing Rack Mount Equipment and Devices Such as STB's and Switches/Hubs.
Proficient in Windows OS.
Experience in MS Office. (Word/Excel Required).
Configuring Video, Networking, and Broadband Equipment (Cable Modems).
Experience Working with Hand Tools (Drill, Screw Driver, Wrenches). OSI Layer 1-4 Network Troubleshooting.
