CNC Setup & Production Machinist – Swiss-Type

We are hiring a skilled CNC Setup & Production Machinist with experience operating and setting up Swiss-type CNC lathes. You will produce highly precise medical device components used in life-changing applications while working in a quality-focused, ISO-regulated manufacturing environment.
If you have experience with Star, Citizen, Tsugami, Swiss-type CNC lathes, CNC Swiss machining, or precision turning, we'd like to speak with you.
Our machining environment includes:
- Star Swiss-Type CNC Lathes
- Advanced CNC turning equipment
- Precision Swiss machining technology
- Multi-axis machining platforms
Experience with Star, Citizen, Tsugami, Tornos, DMG Mori, Mazak, or similar CNC equipment is highly valued.
What You'll Do:
- Setup and operate Swiss-type CNC lathes
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and process documentation
- Select and install appropriate tooling
- Set work offsets and make tool/offset adjustments
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
- Verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment
- Maintain tight tolerances and superior surface finishes
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and dimensional issues
- Identify opportunities to improve cycle times, quality, and production efficiency
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping activities
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience
- Experience independently setting up and operating CNC Swiss-type lathes
- Strong understanding of Swiss machining and precision turning
- Strong blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation skills
- Experience with precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and indicators
- Understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, work offsets, and machining fundamentals
- Ability to troubleshoot machining and tooling issues
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

QualificationsPreferred Education:
High School or better.
Preferred Experience:
1-2 years CNC machining operating, 1-2 years experience working with Star Swiss Style Lathes.
