Overview
Midwest Express Clinic is a family-owned urgent care with 40+ locations in the Midwest. We are seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. This is a full-time position with 12-hour shifts.
Primary FunctionThe Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography. Develop consistency in delivery of patient care.
Qualifications- Active ARDMS certification in OB/GYN, ABD, and/or RVT, or ARRT RVT certification. Current CME compliance for the specialty.
- Experience:
6 months+ in Sonography
- Performs all requested sonographic examinations as ordered by the attending physician.
- Prepares preliminary reports and contacts referring physicians when required, according to established procedures.
- Coordinates with other staff to assure appropriate patient care is provided.
- Addresses problems of patient care as they arise and makes decisions to resolve them.
- Organizes daily work schedule and performs related clerical duties as required.
- Assumes responsibility for the safety and well-being of all patients in the sonographic area/department.
- Reports equipment failures to the appropriate supervisor or staff member.
- Provides in-service education to team on sonographic procedures as requested by other members of the health care team.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Demonstrates skills and abilities: operates sonographic equipment; evaluates sonograms to acquire diagnostic information; integrates results with lab data, patient history, and medical records; uses independent judgment to optimize information; communicates findings to the attending physician; and follows established procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and the health care team.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the public and health care team.
- Follows established departmental procedures.
- Answer telephones - multiple lines; greet patients; navigate the EMR system; register patients; handle correspondence; schedule appointments; obtain prior authorizations; prepare charts; process payments; work efficiently and cope with emergencies.
- Must have good attendance.

Payscale: $40-$42/hour
