Location: Remote (PST Hours)
Duration: 3-Month Contract
Hands-on experience with React, Node.js, Databricks, and Generative AI (LLMs), along with strong debugging, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Summary
We are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to support the testing, validation, and enhancement of a cutting-edge Generative AI (GenAI) application. This role will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Analytics, and Program teams to improve system performance, usability, and reliability within a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Test and enhance a GenAI-powered application built using React, Node.js, and Databricks with modern LLMs
- Identify issues, provide feedback, and help improve system quality, safety, and user experience
- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and program teams to validate application functionality
- Support use cases across materials manufacturing, sourcing, costing, and planning
- Work closely with engineers, analysts, and material developers to optimize workflows
- Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and improving application performance
- Contribute to documentation and continuous improvement efforts
- Bachelor's degree with 8-9+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Hands-on experience with React, Node.js, and Databricks
- Exposure to Generative AI / LLM-based applications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to business stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with AI/ML or GenAI applications in production environments
- Familiarity with materials, manufacturing, or supply chain domains
- Experience working in retail or product-based organizations
