Description

As a member of the IT team, this role supports Ball’s business process tools in SAP, Web Track, Sharepoint, and other platforms. This includes SAP’s sales, production, transportation, supply chain, and FICO modules along with third‑party systems. The IT Associate Business Analyst works with Business Analysts, Business Users, and the broader IT team to resolve daily business and system issues, assist with testing and improvements, and support adoption of technology solutions.

This role is a developmental opportunity for individuals interested in building a career in Information Technology and business systems support. The Associate Analyst will gain exposure to business operations and technical systems while developing an understanding of Ball’s horticultural processes, customer and supplier needs, and emerging technologies.

Assignments and responsibilities will be tailored to the individual’s interests, strengths, and business needs. As knowledge and experience grow, the Associate Analyst will take on more strategic responsibilities, projects, and business partnership opportunities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide front‑line support for daily business and system issues, including responding to emails, creating and monitoring tickets, troubleshooting, and helping business users with system‑related questions and processes. (50%)
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to support the implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement of IT tools, processes, and capabilities, including user training, documentation, communication, and process monitoring. (20%)
  • Support customer and supplier system interfaces, including order processing, inventory, shipment notifications, and other integrated business transactions. (20%)
  • Participate in IT infrastructure efforts, system testing, maintenance activities, upgrades, disaster recovery procedures, and maintenance window validation. (5%)
  • Perform initial issue triage by identifying trends, determining whether issues are process, training, data, or system related, and escalating as needed. (5%)
Requirements
  • School or work experience demonstrating aptitude for technology, business systems, and process improvement.
  • Strong customer service mindset with effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with close attention to detail.
  • Self‑motivated with a desire for continuous learning and innovation.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and become a trusted resource for business users.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable Experience
  • Exposure to SAP or other ERP and business systems.
  • Industry experience in horticulture, agriculture, manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain.
  • Exposure to reporting, analytics, or business process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience or interest in technologies such as:
    • Share Point
    • Power BI/reporting tools
    • Web conferencing tools
    • Mobile technologies
    • Website or digital platforms
  • Exposure to software testing or process documentation.
  • Understanding of customer and supplier business processes.
Salary Range

$65k - $75k

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 5% annually.
  • Ability to sit or stand for up to 100% of the workday.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers for computer and systems work throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work in an open office environment.
