We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor in the Freezerbar Department.
The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor will supervise employees to maximize safety, quality, and productivity. Key responsibilities include daily production scheduling, lot control, inventory accuracy, reporting, sanitation, housekeeping, and adherence to standard operating procedures. The supervisor ensures correct preparation of powder (order, weight‑outs, etc.) and shares responsibility for new methods such as 5S, standardized work, method improvements, and a computerized weigh‑out system.
Schedule2nd Shift hours: 2:00 pm to 12:00 am Monday – Saturday, with overtime as needed. Overtime, including Saturdays, will be required as scheduled based on individual responsibilities and department needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Safety (line inspections, department safety audits, safety meetings)
- Quality (high‑quality production, quality audits, clean environment) HACCP, Verification of CCPs
- Lot control, inventory accuracy, and reporting
- Develop and operate within SOPs
- Cost/Production efficiency, maintenance, and strategic planning for the continuation of production
- Sanitation and housekeeping
- Employee relations issues
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or lead experience in the food or beverage manufacturing industry required.
- A college degree is preferred.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate employees.
- Lead by example, professionally, morally, and ethically.
- Highly organized, methodical, disciplined, and detail‑oriented.
- Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
- Knowledge and experience with GMP and safety regulations.
- Good verbal & written communication skills are required.
- Basic computer skills within programs such as Microsoft Office and the internet are required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.
The Jel Sert Company is committed to pay transparency and will provide further compensation information during the interview process. Minimum compensation for the 2nd Shift Production Supervisor is $29.37 per hour. Due to this being a 2nd shift opportunity, the shift differential to be paid for all time worked on 2nd shift is an additional $0.50 per hour. Compensation is determined by a candidate's experience, education, skills, training, and the internal equity within our organization.
