Position:
Pipefitter
Location: West Chicago, IL, United States
Pay: $28-$32 per hour (DOE)
Hours: 45-55 hours per week, including some Saturdays
Industry: Commercial & Industrial Construction
Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced Pipe fitters to support commercial and industrial construction projects in the West Chicago, IL area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair piping systems in commercial and industrial environments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Cut, thread, fit, and assemble pipe materials with precision.
- Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot piping systems.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
- Work with materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, and copper.
- Collaborate with supervisors and crew members to complete projects on schedule.
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a related trade.
- Strong understanding of pipe fitting methods, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Current OSHA certification required.
- Pipe fitting or related trade certification preferred but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
