Atlas Toyota Material Handling, LLC is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to service and repair Toyota forklifts and related warehouse equipment for wholesale and material handling customers in the Chicago area. In this role, you'll diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, perform preventative maintenance, complete safety inspections, and support breakdowns both in-shop and at customer sites. You'll use OEM manuals, diagnostic tools, and parts systems while documenting work accurately.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel, LPG, and electric forklifts and related warehouse equipment
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems using diagnostic tools
- Respond to breakdowns at customer sites and in the shop, ensuring timely repairs
- Use OEM manuals, diagrams, and digital systems to identify parts and repair procedures
- Document all work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service software
- Communicate repair status and recommendations clearly to service advisors and customers
- Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe workspace
- Collaborate with team members and participate in ongoing technical training
- Support a customer-first culture through reliable, high-quality service and professionalism
