School-Based Social Worker - West Chicago, Illinois

• Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker Endorsement
• Previous experience working in K-12 educational settings is highly desirable
• Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans
• Strong communication, advocacy, and case management skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, parents, and community resources
• Commitment to cultural competence and equity in practice

• Provide social-emotional support and crisis intervention to students
• Conduct assessments and collaborate on developing intervention strategies
• Participate in IEP meetings to determine appropriate services for students with special needs
• Work closely with educators, administrators, and families to support student success
• Deliver group and individual counseling sessions
• Connect students and families to community resources and services as needed
• Document services provided and maintain accurate records in compliance with policies and legal requirements
