The Camp Program Manager supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
Under the direction of the Director of Camper and Family Programs, the Camp Program Manager will assist with leadership, support, and program direction to summer base camp, family camp and weekends, and adventure programs. This position will also support summer camp operations while camp is in session.

* Compensation will be determined commensurate qualifications and experience.*
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a field compatible to the mission and work of the YMCA
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in program development and management including budgeting, recruiting, staffing, training
- Six (6) months to a year of overnight summer camping experience
- Must have the ability to live on-site
- Current certification in or ability to complete CPR, 1st Aid, AED training
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the minimum requirements of the YMCA insurance carrier
- Professional experience working with varied groups including children, adolescents, college students, adults, parents, teachers
- Must have good interpersonal, public relations and communications skills, including the ability to make oral presentations.
- Must be able to effectively work with and motivate other staff and volunteers
- Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
- Incumbent must complete mandatory training of New Staff Orientation, BBP/Child Abuse Prevention and CPR/First Aid/AED training within 30 days of employment.
BENEFICIAL
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to speak two or more languages is preferred.
- Microsoft Office skills preferred
