Job Overview
Program Director for Noncredit Electrical Line worker program is responsible for designing and implementing learning strategies for students; develops course curriculum and syllabi and instructional materials; maintains instructional records; student recruitment, advisement, and retention; develops and evaluates courses, programs and services; participates in College activities and committees; and other duties which support the mission and initiatives of the College.
Teaching & InstructionTeaches assigned courses to meet program needs, including day and evening. Responsible for the classroom portion and hands‑on learning of the Electrical Line worker curriculum. Prepares and submits instructional records, reports, and grades established by institutional policy. Evaluates student progress and provides appropriate feedback.
Practical InstructionResponsible for the range or road instruction of students. Integrates classroom training into practical on‑the‑job learning experiences, which enable students to acquire and demonstrate prescribed competencies.
Student ServicesAssists in student recruitment and retention, including College-wide marketing initiatives.
Resources & Equipment ManagementAssists in management of resources such as equipment and budget. Coordinates maintenance and repair of equipment. Maintains appropriate documentation.
Curriculum DevelopmentAssists in curriculum development and revision. Develops course syllabi. Assists in the development of course schedules. Recommends appropriate textbooks and other instructional materials. Advises students in academic and employment planning.
Other DutiesPerforms other tasks as assigned, which support the mission and initiatives of the College.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree and relevant program experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ten years of experience performing duties as a Class A line worker in the electric or telecom industry, utility industry, and training-related experience; and a valid Class A or B commercial driver’s license.
Night/weekend hours may be required for scheduled events and/or classes.
