Employment Term: 190 Days Status: Full-Time Reports To: Head of School and Elementary Principal
Job SummaryThe Full-Time Elementary Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with curriculum standards while fostering a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. The teacher supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of elementary students and collaborates with school leadership, colleagues, and families to promote student success.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPlan, prepare, and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction for elementary students
Implement instructional strategies that support literacy, numeracy, and foundational skill development
Create a positive, structured classroom environment that supports student learning and behavior expectations
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of elementary students
Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments and adjust instruction accordingly
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, lesson plans, and student progress
Communicate effectively and professionally with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs
Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administrators to support school-wide goals and initiatives
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events as required
Follow all school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School or Elementary Principal
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Education or related field (required)
Valid Elementary Teaching Certification/Licensure (required)
Prior elementary classroom teaching experience preferred
Strong classroom management and instructional skills appropriate for elementary-aged students
Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students and families
Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaboration
Work ScheduleFull-time position following a 190-day school calendar
Daily hours aligned to the school day and assigned duties
Physical and Mental DemandsAbility to stand, walk, and move throughout the classroom and school campus
Ability to actively supervise and engage with elementary students
Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
