Middle Level ELA Teacher

Employment Term: 190 Days
Status: Full-Time
Reports To: Head of School and Middle School Principal(s)

The Full-Time Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with curriculum standards while fostering a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. The teacher supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of elementary students and collaborates with school leadership, colleagues, and families to promote student success.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction for elementary students
• Implement instructional strategies that support literacy, numeracy, and foundational skill development
• Create a positive, structured classroom environment that supports student learning and behavior expectations
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of elementary students
• Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments and adjust instruction accordingly
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, lesson plans, and student progress
• Communicate effectively and professionally with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administrators to support school-wide goals and initiatives
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events as required
• Follow all school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School or Elementary Principal

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (required)
• Valid Elementary Teaching Certification/Licensure (required)
• Prior elementary classroom teaching experience preferred
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills appropriate for elementary-aged students
• Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students and families
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaboration

Full-time position following a 190-day school calendar

Daily hours aligned to the school day and assigned duties

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the classroom and school campus
• Ability to actively supervise and engage with elementary students
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
