Youll focus on one school, working full-time during the school year in a supportive, collaborative setting near West Columbia, SC.

• Active South Carolina Special Education (SPED) teaching license required
• Previous experience working with middle school students, especially those with mild intellectual disabilities
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, families, and students
• Ability to create and implement IEPs and adapt instructional strategies to meet individual needs
• Professionalism and adaptability within a diverse, inclusive school community

• Provide specialized instruction to middle school students with mild intellectual disabilities
• Develop and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team
• Build supportive relationships with students to encourage social, emotional, and academic growth
• Maintain accurate records and ongoing communication with families and school staff
• Participate in professional development opportunities provided onsite
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages confidence and growth

• Assignment is full-time (37.5 hours/week) for the school year
