Commission Critical HVAC Systems for Pharmaceutical ManufacturingControl Associates is seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer specializing in Building Automation Systems to support pharmaceutical commissioning and qualification projects in Rahway, NJ. Your Role and ImpactAs our Control Systems Engineer for BAS, you’ll be the technical expert who ensures HVAC and black utilities systems in GMP-qualified pharmaceutical spaces are properly commissioned and qualified. You’ll develop comprehensive test cases, verify system configurations, and validate that control sequences function exactly as designed. Your work directly supports the safe, compliant production of life-saving medications.
What You'll Accomplish- Develop automation test cases for commissioning and qualification of HVAC and black utilities systems in GMP-qualified pharmaceutical environments
- Interpret complex electrical submittal packages and mechanical Sequences of Operations to build effective qualification test cases
- Perform rigorous testing to verify BAS configuration accuracy and system integration
- Validate integration of OEM equipment to Building Automation Systems
- Verify functionality of control sequences against design specifications and GMP requirements
- Utilize digital document management applications to maintain comprehensive commissioning records
- Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and client stakeholders to ensure successful system commissioning
Required:
- 2-5 years of experience in automation Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q)
- Working knowledge of HVAC control methodology and building automation principles
- Experience with BAS software platforms
- Ability to work on-site in Rahway, NJ five days per week during commissioning activities
Preferred:
- Experience with Schneider Electric's Eco Struxure Building Operations and Power Monitoring Expert
- Experience with digital document management applications in GMP environments (Kneat experience in pharmaceutical space highly valued)
- Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing requirements and GMP compliance
