Drafter​/CAD Designer

Job Overview

Organize workload independently or in collaboration with the Project System Specialist to ensure timely, accurate, and profitable project turnaround.

• Provide initial design setup for all projects as assigned for review by the Project Systems Specialist.
• Prepare complex system design drawings, including floor plan layouts, interconnection drawings, and installation detail drawings.
• Prepare panel configuration layouts, riser diagrams, and perform battery calculations and voltage drop calculations for assigned projects under guidance of a project design specialist.
• Facilitate the preparation of owner/operation manuals and record drawings using CAD software.
• Check accuracy of own work and ensure all time is properly coded to projects.
• Collaborate with the Project Systems Specialist to ensure clarity, completeness, conformity to standards/specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensions.
• Maintain project drawing files, a drawing library, and associated records and documentation per corporate policy.
• Review deliverables prepared by less experienced CAD personnel for accuracy and completeness.

• Associate's Degree or 2 years minimum experience.
• Willingness to work in the office for training (Hybrid Role).
• Experience with AutoCAD 2D.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).

Hourly rate: $24–$33, with potential for higher compensation based on education, experience, skills, and market alignment. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
