Job Description

Healthcare Architect (Non-Licensed) Role

Job Summary : The Healthcare Architect plays a critical role in supporting healthcare facility planning and compliance. This position requires deep knowledge of healthcare regulations, life safety codes, and construction planning. While not requiring licensure, the role demands strong technical and collaborative skills.



Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop solutions-based approaches.
  • Partner with facilities regulatory compliance teams to support interim life safety measures.
  • Evaluate life safety plans for compliance with applicable building codes.
  • Review change-of-use requests and assess feasibility for hospital environments.
  • Interpret architectural plans and technical specifications.
  • Assist in project planning and development to ensure construction continuity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience in project management and coordination with architects, contractors, and project managers.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, design principles, and construction planning.
Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM.
  • Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in all situations.
  • Independent judgment and critical thinking required.
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Construction Science .
