Alcott Global has been retained by a global leader in the automotive industry to identify their Regional Head of Procurement based in South Carolina, USA. This role is central to a regional strategy to develop a competitive, resilient, and sustainable supply chain across North America.
Reporting to the Global Head of Procurement, the role will lead an established team across the U.S. and Mexico, overseeing both direct and indirect procurement, including core components, manufacturing inputs, logistics, marketing, and general services.
This strategic and hands-on leadership position requires deep expertise in procurement, supply chain operations, and stakeholder engagement across functions such as R&D, program management, and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional procurement activities in direct and indirect categories, aligning with global strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure cost-efficiency, quality, and supply continuity.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and commercial teams.
- Drive procurement excellence, operational agility, and continuous improvement within the region.
- Foster a high-performance culture through leadership, team development, and change management.
- Oversee supplier readiness and quality processes to support new product launches and ongoing operations.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of procurement or supply chain leadership experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management skills.
- Experience leading regional teams in global, matrixed environments.
- Cross-functional exposure to manufacturing, logistics, and product development.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of driving results and transformation.
