Key Responsibilities:

· Operates and maintains manual lathe, surface grinder, and milling machine.
· Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.
· Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
· Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
· Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.
· Maintains inventory of completed products.
· Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.
· Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
· Proficient in precision measuring tools: calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.
· Proficient in reading dimensional and assembly drawings.## Education and specialized skills profile:
· High school degree or equivalent.
· Prefer 2-year college in mechanical maintenance or vocational machinist trade or apprenticeship in related field.
· Experience working with machine tools and mechanical assembly.
· Working knowledge of safety protocols.
