As a Security Officer – Entry Checkpoint in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, manage access control and badging, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence.

You will conduct routine rounds, verify credentials, document activity, and support employees and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. Bring integrity, teamwork, and an agile, reliable approach to a role that keeps operations moving.

• Provide customer service to site personnel and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

• Control access at facility entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor processing, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and directing traffic flow for vehicles and/or pedestrians.

• Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments, trailers, and/or packages for policy compliance, report irregularities, and support chain-of-custody documentation as required by the location.

• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or emergency services when directed.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of dock areas, staging zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, and complete required activity logs and reports.

• Customer Service Experience – preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience – preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
