Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Dispatch - Hospital in West Columbia, SC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Dispatcher at a healthcare location, you will coordinate communications, monitor incoming calls and alarms, dispatch personnel, and maintain clear, timely documentation of security-related activity. Your professionalism and customer service will help support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. - Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor incoming calls, alarm notifications, radio traffic, and other communications; prioritize requests and dispatch appropriate personnel according to established procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting information and escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, visitor information, and other required records in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Monitor facility activity through available systems and communicate relevant information to help support a secure healthcare environment.
- Meet DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccination requirements.
- Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
