Theelectricalscopesupportsanaudio/videoandlightingmodernization:tenantimprovementofanexistingcontrol/equipmentroomwithassociatedmechanicalandelectricalwork,powerandpathwayfornewA/Vequipmentmountedtotheexistingstructure,fullreplacementofexistinglightingfixturesacrossmultiplecontrolzones,generatorbackuppowerandautomatictransferswitches,undergroundfeeders,andpowerfornewmechanicalequipment.

Thisisaregistered Californiapublicworksproject.

Alllaborissubjecttoprevailingwage,certifiedpayroll,andapprenticeshiprequirements.

Yourunthecrewandyouworkwiththem.

• Leadandlayoutthedailyworkofanelectricalcrewonanactivepublicworkssite—feeders,panels,branchcircuitry,lighting circuits,undergroundracewayandgeneratorfeeders,AVandlow-voltagerough-in coordination,andoverheadworkatheight
• Readandbuildfromtheapprovedplansandspecifications;identifyconflictsearlyandroutethemtothePMasRFIsbeforetheybecomedelays
• Callinspectionsontimeandpassthemthefirsttime—particularlyundergroundandcoverinspections,beforeworkgetsburied
• Keepapprenticesproductivelyengagedandmaintaincompliantapprenticeratios
• Runthethree-weeklookaheadforyourscopeandkeepthecrewloadedagainstit
• CoordinatedailywiththeAV,structural steel,andmechanicaltradesworkingthesameareas
• Owndailyreports,timecards,andaccuratelaborcodingbycostcode—thisfeedsbothcertifiedpayrollandtheincentiveplanbelow
• Enforcesitesafety:dailytailgatemeetings,fallprotectionatheight,LOTOandenergized-work procedures,andjobsite-specific requirements
• Takeanddocumentyourownmealandrestperiods,andmakesureyourcrewdoesthesame
• Managematerialstaging,toolandequipmentaccountability,andwastehandling
• Walkandclosepunchlist;supportas-builtmarkups,O&Mturnover,andinspectionsign-offs
• Interfacewiththe Owner'sinspectorand
  
  Construction Managerprofessionallyandincoordinationwiththe Electrical Superintendent and PM

Required:

• California Electrician Certification (StateofCaliforniaET/General Electriciancertification)—current
• Minimum5yearsasajourneymanelectrician,withatleast2yearsrunningcrewsasaforeman
• Demonstratedexperienceonprevailingwage/publicworksprojectsandfamiliaritywithcertifiedpayrollobligations
• Experiencerunningapprenticesproductivelyandmaintainingcompliantapprenticeratiosonpublicworksprojects
• Abilitytoreadandbuildfromelectricalplans,single-lines,andspecificationswithouthand-holding
• OSHA
  30(orabilitytoobtainwithin
  30daysofhire)
• Valid California driver'slicenseandreliabletransportation
• Abilitytopassapre-employmentdrugscreenandany
  
  Owner-requiredbackgroundcheck

Californiaprevailingwagerateforthe Inside Wiremanclassification ,pertheDIRGeneral Prevailing Wage Determinationineffectfor Los Angeles Countyforthisproject .Fullemployerpayments—healthandwelfare,pension,vacation/holiday,and training—arepaidontopofthat.

Overtime,shift differential,and Saturday/Sunday/holidaypremiumsarepaidonyourfullrateper

Californialaw.

Certifiedpayrollisfiledweekly.

CALTECdoesnotoffsetprevailingwageobligationswithincentivepay.

Theincentiveplanbelowispaidinadditiontoallwagesandfringebenefitsowed.

Wepayforresults,andwepayinthreeseparatebucketssothatonebadbreakinoneareadoesn'twipeoutwhatyouearnedintheothers.

Fulltermsareprovidedinawrittenincentiveagreementathire.
