Accounts Payable Associate

One of our clients is seeking an Accounts Payable Accounting Associate to join their Accounting Operations team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on AP work and is comfortable owning the full accounts payable process while partnering with a larger accounting team.

Location:

Hybrid – West Des Moines (moving Downtown by March)

Responsibilities:

• Approximately 80% accounts payable and 20% additional accounting tasks
• Own the full accounts payable process for the AE entity as the sole AP resource
• Process approximately 400–500 invoices per week
• Perform data entry, vendor communication, payment follow-ups, and reconciliations
• Assist with reconciliations using Black Line
• Support employee expense and corporate credit card programs
• Prepare journal entries as needed
• Collaborate closely with the broader accounting team

Preferred skills and experience:

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to enter invoices efficiently and accurately
• Accounting background with understanding of debits and credits
• Experience with journal entries
• Associate’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
• Purchase order and general ledger experience preferred
