CAS Intern Position
As a CAS Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in the world of client accounting advisory services. This role offers exposure to real-world accounting practices, client interactions, and the chance to contribute to accurate financial reporting for our diverse clientele.
Job Responsibilities- Assist in reconciling financial accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Work with accounting software to input and verify financial data
- Support the preparation of financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, and other relevant reports
- Collaborate with senior accountants to analyze financial data and provide insights
- Participate in client meetings and interactions to gather financial information, understand client needs, and offer support
- Help address client inquiries and provide basic accounting assistance
- Assist in collecting and organizing financial data for analysis and reporting purposes
- Contribute to basic data analysis to identify trends and discrepancies
- Maintain organized and accurate documentation related to accounting activities, ensuring adherence to firm standards
- Participate in training sessions and learning opportunities to enhance your understanding of accounting concepts and practices
- Seek guidance from senior accountants to expand your accounting knowledge and skills

Work is conducted in a professional office environment with minimal distractions
Physical demands:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and performing work in front of a computer screen for long periods of time. Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at a time
Travel required:
None
Required education and experience: 0 – 1 year of relevant experience. Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. High School Diploma or GED or High School equivalent certificate
Preferred education and experience:
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Duration:
This is a temporary, less than six (6) month internship position
