General Function The IT Invoicing and Procurement Intern specializes in supporting the IT Invoicing and Procurement teams. They assist in ensuring the vendor products and services are charged and categorized accurately upon handoff to Accounting for payment. This role supports IT leaders with expense management and purchasing goods and services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Supports IT Leadership with processing of invoices for all technology products, ensures timely payment and correct classification, billing to other business units.
- Purchase goods or services that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the Hy-Vee Track inventory and late shipments and identify shortage of product.
- Answers inquiries from internal partners, vendors, construction and third party installer.
- Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.

- Strong verbal, written communication skills and interpersonal skills; ability to relate to and interact with others in a tactful, friendly, professional manner.
- Ability to identify problems, develop and execute solutions.
- Ability to interact with computer systems such as Microsoft Office suite of programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as job-specific programs.
High school diploma or equivalent experience required; additional training or education from an accredited college or university preferred.
Physical Requirements- Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.
- Must be physically able to perform light work: lifting no more than 20 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects of no more than 10 pounds; frequent standing or walking.
- May be required to lift objects of up to 40 pounds when assisting in mail room.
- Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
The duties of this position are performed in a general office setting. There is frequent pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a day.
