Customer Service Representative - Health Benefits Support

TEKsystems is hiring Customer Service Representatives to support members with their health benefit plans. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping others, thrive in a fast‑paced environment, and have strong communication skills.

What You'll Do

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for members and providers. Daily responsibilities include:

+ Handle inbound calls from members regarding their health benefit plans

+ Make outbound calls to follow up on claims or benefit inquiries

+ Research and resolve member questions, escalating when necessary

+ Ask questions and actively listen to understand customer needs

+ Document all interactions accurately within internal systems

+ Coordinate with care providers, including doctors' offices, to assist with appointment scheduling or connecting members with specialists

+ Educate providers on benefit plans and share available contracting opportunities

What You Bring

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

+ 1+ year of call center experience (required)

+ 1+ year of outbound calling experience

+ Strong ability to handle complex or challenging calls from members and providers

+ Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and active listening skills

+ A customer‑focused mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality service

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Des Moines, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00/hr.
