Long Term Substitute For 6th Grade Teacher
Long term substitute for 6th grade teacher. Approximate dates:
August 17, 2026-October 21, 2026.
State of Iowa teaching license required. A strong belief system for collaboration with staff members and families. Long term pay is retro active on day 16, tier 2: has or held an Iowa teaching license $250/day, tier 1: has or held the correct Iowa endorsement for the assignment $275/day.
Qualifications- Knowledge of and enthusiasm to work with students at the designated level.
- Ability to create and maintain healthy relationships with students, staff, parents and community.
- Ability to provide instruction to effectively meet the needs of all students.
- Ability to effectively implement multiple teaching methods (co-teaching, small group, differentiation, etc).
- Knowledge and ability to implement the Iowa Teaching Standards.
- Knowledge of special education, section 504 and MTSS process.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to effectively use technology for instruction, communication and data management.
- Ability to effectively engage in professional growth individually and with collaborative teams.
- Ability to implement federal, state and district goals with students.
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Department of Iowa regulations.
- Knowledge of Federal rights, Privacy Act and other civil rights regulations.

Selection Procedure:
