Job DescriptionAddress: 625 S. 35th Street, West Des Moines, Iowa
6.75 hr/day. Experience working with special needs students. Great communication skills and problem solving skills needed. Job coaching skills prefered. Will need to be able to successfully complete both written and physical components of Nonviolent Crisis Prevention (CPI) training provided by district upon hire.
JOB SUMMARYWorks one-on-one with the special education student to implement the individual education plan as well as an intensive, highly specialized behavioral management and crisis program. Provides intensive and specific supervision, performs data collection procedures and works cooperatively with the special education teacher, challenging behavior specialist, autism specialist and Director of Special Education. This position requires a great deal of specialized training, which will be offered through the district, AEA or other providers.
This position is physically demanding.
