INTERNAL ONLY. Supplemental Stipend. Beginning date:

Provides guidance and ongoing support to beginning teachers to increase student achievement and to retain high quality educators.

• Demonstrates effective implementation of all Iowa Teaching Standards and criteria.
• Meets district standards as set forth in the certified staff performance evaluation handbook.
• Support beginning teacher initial and ongoing induction.
• Provide leadership in instructional knowledge, methods and materials to beginning teacher.
• Provide support to beginning teachers in assuming their roles and responsibilities.
• Maintain professional growth through graduate and/or staff development courses, professional organizations, seminars and/or professional literature.
• Attend and participate in beginning teacher and mentor meetings.
• Problem-solve issues with curriculum, instruction, and assessment with beginning teacher.
• Visit beginning teachers’ classrooms and provide feedback.
• Work in a highly effective and collaborative manner.
• Complete all trainings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
